A famous Spanish engineer of the time Leonardo Torres Quevedo, who was inspired by similar installations in Europe, designed the architecture of the Aero Car.
Construction of Aero Car was started in 1915, which involved deep cutting along both slopes of the gorge to provide space for the installation of the machinery chambers. The cable car was built in abroad and was brought to the site for installation. The first ride was attempted by spectators on August 8, 1916, who were amazed by the technical achievement.
